Be acquainted with Tymur Shamrai. He is 5. A year ago he has been in a hospital for 12 months and at that time it seemed like he won the fight with a severe disease: secondary myelodysplastic syndrome. However, for the first time Tymur found himself in a hospital when he only was 2 years old – in 2011. Tymur underwent treatment in a Children Regional Oncology and Hematology Center in Cherkasy. In 2012 the active phase of treatment has been finished and Tymur underwent supporting chemotherapy courses. Unfortunately, the  disease recurred and now he heeds bone marrow transplantation.

Some are luckier than others. Tymur is among the ones who got a mischance: disease recurred in 2014 and brought the child back to the hospital. Currently doctors recommend radical therapy – allogenic bone marrow transplantation from an unrelated donor. Ukraine doesn't have a capacity of carrying out such surgeries. Tymur returned to Cherkasy Children Regional Oncology and Hematology Center.

Horrible disease couldn't prevent Tymur from growing smart and courageous, curious and friendly. He's interested in everything: computers, books, toys. He loves meeting different people and playing with friends. However, due to poor blood tests Tymur has been kept for a month in a sterile room deprived from any communication including his friends in hospital.

Today Tymur has passed the first course of recurrence symptomatic treatment chemotherapy. Unfortunately, his body suffers greatly from this treatment – blood tests results became worse and now he requires regular transfusions of donor blood components.

Tymur and his family dream of treatment in a Bologna University Hospital, whose specialists are ready to take the child for the bone marrow transplantation.

However, the price of it is 120 000 euro – it's largely beyond to what family is able to pay for. However, a 5 000 euro payment has been already made for blood typing (the test that allows to identify suitable marrow bone donor) as well as 63 000 euro in charity donations have been raised through an OHMATDYT Board of Trustees. And raising funds for Tymur goes on every day.

"TABLETOCHKY" asks you to help gather 250 000 UAH. That is a part of necessary amount addressed to the marrow bone donor research. It will allow processing the marrow bone donors database and making more tests so that Tymur will find his ideal "twin-brother" or "twin-sister".

It is always hard to find a soul mate, however, identifying your ideal twin is even harder. Which for Tymur is the only possible way to recover. Let’s help him make this important step!
