The name Polina has two interpretations, the first is "sunny", the second is "liberated." The girl Polina was born on a sunny September day in the city of Lisichansk at 36 weeks by an emergency caesarean section. The baby's condition was difficult - resuscitation, then the pathology of the newborns. The doctors' prognosis was disappointing - a week, a month... but after being discharged from the pathology unit, the child's condition improved and it seemed that life was getting better. But at 7 months, a delay in physical development became noticeable, the girl did not sit or crawl.

At 8 months old, Polina was diagnosed with a disappointing diagnosis. Unable to withstand this challenge, the father abandoned the family. From that moment on, mother began to fight for her daughter's life and health on her own. Numerous rehabilitations in the Lugansk Regional Clinical Hospital and in the Regional Rehabilitation Center "Renaissance" in Lugansk have gave fruits - Polinka began to speak the first syllables and learned to crawl. But in 2014 happened something, that no one expected... a war. Treatment in Luhansk became impossible for Polina. Despite the situation in the region, fear, lack of support, mother did not give up - after all, time passes, and the younger the child is, the more effective the rehabilitation is, the higher is the chance to restore health. Since then, Polina’s rehabilitation began to take place at the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic.

There are already 12 rehabilitation courses behind. Thanks to them, Polinka began to speak the first simple words, then phrases and small light sentences, began to understand everyday speech, learned to sit, stand at a support, step over with support by the hands. Each completed rehabilitation gives a new impetus to development, helps to improve the general condition, reduces muscle tone, increases the number of movements, and removes pain. Polina is a very sunny, kind, inquisitive girl. At home she moved to the 2nd grade program, she is trying very hard. She enjoys studying with teachers. Likes to draw, to sculpt from plasticine, to collect puzzles and mosaics and, of course, to watch cartoons. Like all children she loves to have fun. The child still has a long road to health ahead, she still has a lot to learn.

The main goal is to stand and walk independently, to learn how to speak, read, write correctly. This requires constant rehabilitation, the cost of which, unfortunately, is too high for the mother and she cannot cope without the help of kind people. Help Polina to continue such an important rehabilitation for her and one day the second interpretation of her name will be justified, she will become “liberated” - free from the disease!
