The Ukrainian brand Woolkrafts has released a series of blankets with various landscapes of Ukrainian regions based on designs by Platfor.ma. It is a continuation of the charity collection «Ukraine». The proceeds from the sales of the plaids will be donated to the National Rehabilitation Center «Unbroken» to purchase bionic prostheses for Ukrainians affected by the war.

The series consists of 14 blankets depicting the most native Ukrainian landscapes - the Carpathian meadows and Donbas terricones, the steppes of Tavria and the fields of Podillia, the forests of Sivershchyna and the Crimean mountains.

According to the Woolkrafts team, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, they have been favoring the creation of blankets whose design has a special meaning or carries a certain important message. So, when Platfor.ma launched a charity collection of sweaters and scarves dedicated to the regions of Ukraine, Woolkrafts decided to help scale the project.

«When we learned about Platfor.ma's initiative for Unity Day, we were completely delighted. First, we were excited about the designs and the powerful unifying idea. We immediately realized how cool the blankets with such warm and touching prints would be. After all, you must admit that it is much more pleasant to wrap yourself in a blanket with the symbols of your native region or favorite corner of Ukraine.

It combines the desire to help and a creative approach to knitted items, and this resonates 100% with our values and approach. If we had such a physical opportunity, we would hug the whole of Ukraine, because we love it so much. And this project is also about how Ukraine hugs us like a favorite cozy blanket.

That's why we naturally felt that we should take the initiative and invited the Platfor.ma team to develop this idea in the format of blankets,» Woolkrafts says.

But what inspires the team the most is the important goal of the project - to support the National Rehabilitation Center «Unbroken» and to join in raising funds for bionic prostheses for our military and people affected by the war.

The blankets in the series cost 3000 UAH. All 14 designs are already available for order on the website here or on the brand's social media.
