In the case with COVID-19, when minutes count, a timely diagnosis is a matter of life and death. We all already know about the importance of conducting PCR test for suspected COVID-19. From the quick results of the analysis depend on all future actions of doctors who are fighting for the lives of patients with coronavirus infection.

Kyiv city clinical hospital №4 is one of the hospital bases identified by Ministry of health of Ukraine as basic medical acridine for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in Kyiv. The hospital has its own powerful laboratory separate from the PCR Department is able to process daily up to 100 PCR tests. However, for the third week, the division could not carry out any analysis in relation to the lack of appropriate PCR systems to test the infection. All the tests patients with suspected coronavirus sent to the Kyiv city virological laboratory, which is overloaded so that research results have to wait almost a week.

The week of uncertainty for people, the week of "blind" doctor's work instead of promptly received a diagnosis of exclusion or confirmation of coronavirus and appropriate algorithm of treatment according to protocols! No need to explain that this week the dramatic disease can progress and lead to serious respiratory disorders, or even irreparable consequences.

The aim of the project is to raise funds for the purchase of 5 sets of PCR test-systems for the Kyiv city clinical hospital №4. Each of us or our loved ones may be in a hospital bed with suspected coronavirus and a week to be in this terrible situation, when medical help is needed right now, this minute, and the results of the analysis have to wait so long...
