Kyivstar allocates UAH 10 million to the "Invincible" centre
As part of the Children's Hope project by Kyivstar and the dobro.ua charity platform, the mobile operator is allocating an additional UAH 10 million to purchase medical equipment for the children's burns unit of the Unbreakable Centre in Lviv. The total amount of the company's assistance to the hospital is now UAH 20 million.
Oleksandr Komarov, President of Kyivstar, announced the additional charitable donations.
"In spring, it will be a year since we have been supporting the area of helping children with burns and helping to create conditions for the treatment of children with severe thermal injuries here in Ukraine. I am pleased to announce another charitable contribution of UAH 10 million for new medical equipment for the hospital," said Oleksandr Komarov, President of Kyivstar.
The funds will be used to purchase a RUBINA 3D 4K video system for paediatric surgery, complete with a 3D visualisation system for maximum safety. The medical institution will also receive a Cryo-S Painless cryosurgical apparatus, which allows for temporary freezing of peripheral nerves during surgery and avoiding pain in the postoperative period.
"Treatment and rehabilitation of children during the war is a truly strategic issue for the whole country, so we pay special attention to it. And the new equipment we received thanks to Kyivstar will greatly facilitate the process of treating children with burns and allow us to discharge them home as quickly as possible. We are grateful to the mobile operator for its constant support," says Oleh Samchuk, head of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
As a reminder, thanks to previously allocated funds, in 2023, the centre received a bed for burn treatment, an anaesthetic and breathing apparatus, surgical instruments, an electrosurgical apparatus, an analyser for laboratory tests and a laser for grinding post-burn scars.

Thanks to our partnership with Kyivstar, we are able to provide the National Rehabilitation Centre "Unbreakable" with such modern equipment that the care for children's lives is at the highest level. The purchased equipment will soon start saving the lives of little Ukrainians," says Iryna Hutsal, director of the dobro.ua charity platform.
Currently, the initiative has launched a fundraising campaign to buy a portable ultrasound machine for the hospital's children's burns unit. Every prepaid subscriber of the company can make a one-time transfer via SMS to 450025, join the project by making a donation from a bank card on dobro.ua or activate the Kyivstar TV. Charity" package, 40% of the cost of which will be donated monthly.
