Kyivstar donated UAH 10 million to help children with burns
Within the framework of the Children's Hope project, the company, together with the dobro.ua charity platform, has already delivered and put into operation modern medical equipment to the Unbreakable rehabilitation centre in Lviv. Thanks to Kyivstar's new contribution of UAH 10 million, the medical equipment is already in operation and helps to treat children.
Every year, about 12 thousand children in Ukraine suffer from burn injuries, and the war has significantly increased this figure, especially among those who suffered from mine injuries.
The funds were used to purchase and install the following: RUBINA 3D 4K video system for paediatric surgery, which allows for maximum safety thanks to 3D visualisation. A Cryo-S Painless cryosurgical apparatus that freezes peripheral nerves during operations, reducing pain after surgery.
Thanks to the new equipment, the Unbreakable rehabilitation centre is becoming a reliable place of treatment in Ukraine for more than 3,000 children, including 250 young patients with severe injuries, including burns.
Kyivstar has allocated UAH 20 million for the purchase of modern medical equipment and engages its subscribers in fundraising for medical equipment as part of the Children's Hope initiative.
