You all know our boundless love for reporting, right? It is one of our fundamental values. Each project is thoroughly checked, and everyone has open access to documents and reports on our activities. But our focus on publicity and transparency knows no bounds. Together with our partners, the aid operators, we are taking another step towards accountability to our donors. And we will publish news on our pages about what we have managed to do together with you during the month. Next, you will find 5 projects that definitely deserve your attention, because an incredible number of Ukrainians worked on them to make more good happen.

The project "Building a new Dacha together!", Zaporuka Foundation.

"Dacha is the first home for families with seriously ill children in Ukraine, founded by Zaporuka Charitable Foundation. Construction of the new Dacha began at the end of 2018 and was completed in October 2023. The benefactors of the dobro.ua platform made a huge contribution to support children with cancer - UAH 3,756,620! On 31 October 2023, Dacha opened its doors to families of children with cancer and seriously ill children. The new Dacha is a large, modern centre that can accommodate 350 families annually. The new building has 14 rooms, two playrooms, a physiotherapist's office, a psychologist's office, a sensory room, and a recreation room. There are facilities for children in wheelchairs.

The Charity Courage project.

Thanks to the charity events "Charity Courage. September" and "Courage: Garage Sale" charity events held in Kyiv in 2023, the following areas were implemented:

3 defenders with amputated limbs received modern prostheses at the Superhumans Center (CF "Superhumans") during November-December 2023.

The CHARITABLE FUND "SVICHADO" arranges a ventilation system and purchases furniture for the storage room of the OHMATDYT children's hospital, which was opened in October 2023.

In November 2023, Tata Kepler, a volunteer with the Birds initiative of the Vidchuy Charitable Foundation, delivered tactical medicine to the 3rd Assault Brigade. And in February 2024, the Come Back Alive Foundation provided 20 GaussMD metal detectors to the engineering units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Project "Modern prostheses for defender Ihor", Gromadyanyn Charity Foundation.

In December 2023, defender Ihor Murenets received modern prostheses for both hips. More than 400 donors of dobro.ua supported the Hero to enable him to replace his old prostheses with more modern ones. The defender lost his leg limbs in 2018 while serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donetsk region. He underwent rehabilitation for two years. Gradually, he learned to live in new conditions and even took part in the Games of Heroes project. Thanks to the support of philanthropists, Ihor is now confidently taking independent steps with his new prostheses.

Targeted project "It's important not to miss the moment", CO CF "KYIAN".

At the age of 6 months, ophthalmologists diagnosed Danylo with optic nerve atrophy and assigned him a disability. In addition, the boy has a congenital central nervous system defect - a neurological disease that affects his development. Now the boy is 2 years old, and he still cannot crawl and walk on his own. In January 2024, 3-year-old Daniel Trutayev from Kharkiv underwent timely rehabilitation at the International Centre for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology. The boy was given the chance to walk by 109 benefactors of the dobro.ua platform. Thanks to the funds raised, he underwent one of the most important rehabilitations, which has already yielded positive results.

Project "Food for Children. 21", CF "ASPERN".

12 children from the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children in Kyiv received 4 meals a day in December 2023 and January-February 2024. Most children admitted to the children's centre were malnourished or starving. All this had a negative impact on both the physical and mental health of the children.  Our benefactors shared their goodness and quickly closed the collection for the disadvantaged kids.
