The project ‘Unbreakable Yana run for the defender’, CO "CF "Unbroken".
In April, 12-year-old Yana Stepanenko, who lost both legs in a rocket attack in Kramatorsk, takes part in the Boston Marathon. The girl is running a kilometre on prostheses to help severely wounded soldier Oleksandr Ryasnyi get a sports prosthesis. After being wounded in the Zaporizhzhia sector, he lost his leg and dreamed of running and playing sports again.
Yana's brave act touches the whole world. In just two weeks, we have raised the required amount on dobro.ua! Donations come from many countries, uniting benefactors.In October, Oleksandr's dream comes true: the defender runs his first race on a new sports prosthesis. He runs this race together with Yana.
The project ‘Urgent Aid to OKHMATDYT’, dobro.ua.
OKHMATDYT Hospital is a place where children's lives are saved every day.
More than 10,000 concerned Ukrainians support the dobro.ua ‘Urgent Aid to OKHMATDYT’ campaign to purchase equipment, including that destroyed in the missile strike, and raise more than UAH 3.5 million. Another UAH 10 million is being allocated by Kyivstar mobile operator to restore the hospital's operations.
In August-October 2024, the hospital's young patients will receive the necessary equipment: ultrasound scanner, ENT machine, Surgical laser, Cryosurgical apparatus.
Thanks to the new equipment, doctors will be able to effectively diagnose and treat young patients.
The project ‘The Birthday. Svitlana Panaiotidi’, CF “CF "Future Hearts".
Our ambassador and public figure Svitlana Panaiotidi organises a charity fundraiser on dobro.ua on her birthday and raises over UAH 600 thousand for children with heart defects.
This amount will help six young patients of the Amosov Institute whose families cannot afford to buy heart implants on their own.
During October-November 2024, the children underwent endovascular surgery with the installation of an occluder. The operations are performed without opening the chest and the children return to active life the next day.
Since 2016, Svetlana has given a chance for life to more than a hundred young patients of the Amosov Institute.
The project ‘Christmas Kurazh: Gen.Camp camp for psychological rehabilitation of children’, CF ‘ Behind the Blue Eyes’.
The Gen.Camp team creates all the necessary conditions for the full recovery and psychological rehabilitation of children from the hot spots of Ukraine. Here they are taught to create, make friends, overcome obstacles and plan for the future.
In the summer of 2024, two shifts of the Gen.Camp camp were held. The first shift is organised for 50 children who lost their parents due to the war. The second shift involves 50 children who have witnessed the horrors of war. During June and July, the children undergo individual and group therapy, art therapy, reading therapy, and learn self-help and self-regulation skills.
These skills will help the children to cope with various life challenges and stressful situations in the future.
Funds for psychological rehabilitation of children in the amount of UAH 1,000,000 were raised at the charity Christmas Kurazh.
The project ‘Help the homeless animals of Dnipro region!’, ICF "Center of social projects of the future".
The animal shelter in Kamianske (Dnipro Oblast) needs an outdoor box, as the animals are constantly indoors and cannot see the street. To improve their living conditions, dobro.ua donors raised UAH 89,183.
The installation of the box lasted from August to September 2024. In October, the box was ready to meet all the needs of the cats. Now the animals can go for a walk without leaving the shelter. There are scratching posts to sharpen their claws and structures to satisfy the cats' need to explore the space.
