What is a hospital for a child, even if it has excellent doctors, good surroundings, and all the necessary conditions?
A hospital is a unfamiliar closed space filled with drugs, worries, anxious adults whose moods affect children.
That is why the Charitable Foundation Zaporuka team has been helping children and families from all over Ukraine for 11 years who have come to Kyiv for treatment hosting them in a beautiful place to which children themselves gave the name – Dacha.
Today it is a rented house, but Charitable Foundation Zaporuka has a dream, big and pure: creating a perfect private space where everything will be as it should be – at the highest comfort and hospitality level.
Now the Foundation’s dream is very close to being realized because the final stages of their own house Dacha construction are already underway so that 300 children with their parents can be hosted there during the year. There is very little left for this project to become a reality – and there will be 14 rooms for 14 families who can stay simultaneously in a room free for the period of treatment. The existing Dacha experience confirms that children living there feel more alive, go for a walk outside, play, cook their favorite dishes and can be with their family. The support of the child by the family during the treatment is so important and necessary because it contributes to the recovery!
That is why the Gelius brand takes one of the future house rooms under its wing, paying for its repairs and furnishings.
We will donate 10 UAH from each order of Gelius products to raise funds for Dacha throughout the spring.
