27.02.2024 Sakhno Sofia, born in 2018, underwent surgery.
A Happy Family is a family with many children. This is about the Sakhno family from Boyarka. The parents devote all their free time to their children because they want to raise them to be decent people. The secret of family happiness is simple: love for each other and faith. There are five children in the family. The eldest, Daryna, is 15 years old, and the youngest son, Hlib, is 3 years old.
Sofia is the fourth child in the family, she is 5 years old.
Since birth, Sofia has been active, cheerful and lively. Like the vast majority of children, she suffered from seasonal illnesses. Her parents found out about the heart disease only 3 months ago, when the family paediatrician found a heart disorder during an examination. After additional examinations, a cardiac surgeon diagnosed the child with an atrial septal defect and determined the need for endovascular surgery.
The budget of a large family is very limited and the amount required to purchase an occluder, which is UAH 119,947, is too much for the family. The family is unable to raise such funds on their own. The mother is a teacher at a kindergarten, but is currently on maternity leave to care for a child under three years old. The father is a priest at the Holy Protection Church in Boyarka.
The family needed help and had great hope that their daughter would recover.

Today, on 27 February 2024, Sofiika underwent endovascular surgery. The operation was successful. Now the girl is being prepared for discharge.
Thanks to our joint efforts, the girl has a chance for a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.
