News May 2026

At the end of April, Sasha’s condition took a sudden turn for the worse. Doctors diagnosed pneumonia, accompanied by a high temperature and severe breathing difficulties. He was unable to breathe unaided, so he was put on oxygen support. His condition was so serious that Sasha had to be rushed to the intensive care unit, where he underwent a bronchoscopy to assess the condition of his airways.
In May, the doctors performed a more radical procedure. During the operation, the airways were cleared of granulation tissue and a larger tracheostomy was fitted, which improved the boy’s breathing and stabilised his condition. The situation is currently under control, but the child requires further monitoring and rehabilitation.
