About the specifics of project implementation
Dear friends! 2 years have passed since the submission of our project. During this time, prices for materials for printing books in Braille have increased significantly. Yes, in 2022 the cost of one cover was UAH 170, in 2024 it is 220 hryvnias. Similarly with other goods. With this in mind, our team undertakes to print at least 20 new editions (perhaps more - in any case, the printing of books will continue until the consumables are completely exhausted), but to slightly reduce the circulation - to publish 30 copies instead of 40. Experience shows that this is quite enough.
In our opinion, it is better to give blind children more new publications than fewer publications with a larger circulation. As we promised, we will write about each new book in Braille and audiobook on our project page, on Facebook and Telegram, as well as report with lists of addressees, including their details, certified by the Lviv General Post Office. Everything is honest and transparent. We will not disgrace our authority. Separately about the following. Both blind people and famous personalities work in our team. All are on a volunteer basis. They work every day 24X7. Since there are many books, we have to extend the term of the project - at least until the end of 2024.
It won't work any sooner, because the team consists of 5 specialists: editors, announcer, sound engineer. However, the result will be high-quality and worthy! It should not be forgotten that Ukraine is ahead of many European countries in this sense, and our publications for blind children are, without exaggeration, unique.
