The aim of the project was to raise funds for Emilia Schmotzer, who is being treated for osteosarcoma in the pediatric ward of the National Cancer Institute. Emilia has cancer of the calcaneus. With such localization, oncologists were forced to decide on amputation. But this should not continue in the technological age. And the way out is found - a 3D implant! A special printer printed a part made of titanium, which is similar in density and properties to human bone. On March 19, 2021, Emilia underwent surgery. The implant itself was transferred to the patient in accordance with the tripartite agreement №1 from 25.02.2021, in favor of the patient. Thanks to the funds raised in time, the bill was paid and the girl got a chance to live a full life after the illness. At this time, Emilia is just regaining strength after surgery, rehabilitation will begin soon, treatment continues.
A financial report is submitted on all spent funds.
