5-year-old Foma needs urgent surgery

A little baby is hospitalized at the Pediatric Clinic of Neurosurgery. His name is Foma. His mother says proudly: “Look, how big he is now!” nut the truth is that only her love is big here. Foma was born weighing just 1 600 grams. For a long time he couldn’t breathe on his own, he suffered from a hemorrhage that caused hydrocephalus. Now he feels much better but he has to overcome hydrocephalus. And it requires medicines and medical supplies. The mother cannot buy everything necessary because she has been “living” at the hospitals with Foma for five months.

At the Pediatric Clinic of Neurosurgery medicine storage rooms are empty for a long time. The parents have to buy everything, from plasters to expensive antibiotics. If only a surgery is required most families can find the necessary amount of money. If treatment lasts for months it is impossible to cope without the help of the others. Foma’s family has been fighting for his life for five months and they spent all their savings. Foma’s mother appeals to all people asking for help and hopes that eventually she will return home with her son.
