6-year-old Alina's Marathon

When the child is no longer able to wait for his birth in his mother's womb – preterm angels are born. That is how Alina came to life at the term of 29 weeks with the weight of 1450 gr. For 7 days she stayed in intensive care, and then during 2 months she was catching up with their peers in body weight. But the 2-year-old girl was diagnosed cerebral palsy, and the race was over. At her age of 6 years she can only crawl on her knees, and all this is due to the rehabilitation courses. It is so much desired that Alina not to be confined to the wheelchair.

During 6 years of her life Alina was constantly receiving treatment, she went for rehabilitation to Vinnitsa, Odessa, Kiev. She got two surgery's by Ulzibat method. But there were no significant results. For now the girl has gone through four courses, which took two years, all in the rehabilitation clinic in Truskavets. It is necessary to go through four courses per year to reach other kids. In september of 2013 Alina's mother took her to Truskavets clinic of Pr. Koziavkin for the first time. After the rehabilitation Alina started to sit down on her own and it was a real joy to see. The mother could hardly manage to gather funds for the second course in march of 2014. Results could be seen immediately – the child started to crawl on the knees, helping herself with the hands. Then there were another two courses, when the child ensured the result and made better the coordination of moves. These days Alina has to go to rehabilitation again to keep reaching for her great dream to walk, but the family is scarce for funds to pay for the treatment!

Alina's intellect is fully functional. She knows numbers, letters she reads and is learning to write – ding all that children do at the age of six, when they get ready to go to school. There is only one big problem is tha Alina cannot walk.

It is very difficult for Alina's mother Natalia to live, knowing that there are no funds to help the baby, and not knowing the answer to her daughter's question – what happens if i don't learn to walk? How will i live?

We are sure that combining our efforts we can have Alina not only learn to crawl, but to walk and that together we will find answers for such adult questions of the child.
