Christmas Kurazh
Within the framework of the charity project "Christmas Kurazh", the Charitable Foundation "Ivan Honchar Museum" purchased photographic equipment and digitised 535 items of the museum collection at the expense of funds raised during the Christmas Kurazh charity event held on 16-17 December 2023 in Kyiv.
During the war, in the absence of the possibility to hold exhibitions in the museum space and use the object fund, the digitisation of collections will allow preserving and disseminating samples of folk culture, using them for educational, scientific and popular projects.
All digital materials resulting from the project and copyrights have been transferred to the Ivan Honchar Museum in accordance with the Act No. 1 of Acceptance and Transfer of Digital Images dated 27 November 2024. The digitised samples are available for work upon request, and from 2025 will be presented on the museum's website honchar.org.ua. The digitisation equipment purchased under the project was transferred to the museum in accordance with the Act No. 2 of Acceptance and Transfer of Equipment and Materials dated 27 November 2024.
The charity platform dobro.ua, BO IBF "Ukrainian Charity Exchange" acted as the implementer of the "Christmas Courage" project, the purpose of which is to digitize the museum funds and archives of the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum".
06/05/2024 Expression 13000XL Pro scanner was transferred to the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum".
Within the framework of the charity project "Christmas Kurazh", CO "Gen Ukrainian Camp" was able to hold two shifts of psychoeducational rehabilitation camps in the summer of 2024, from 12 June to 15 July 2024, at the expense of funds raised during the Christmas Kurazh charity event held on 16-17 December 2023 in Kyiv. The first shift was attended by 50 children who lost their parents and relatives due to the war. The second shift was attended by 50 children who have experience of forced deportation, living under occupation and witnessed the horrors of war. The support received from the UBB made it possible to engage a team of specialists to conduct two shifts of camps.
During the camp, the children underwent individual and group therapy, bibliotherapy and art therapy. The children had the opportunity to process and live through their traumatic experiences and mastered the skills of self-help and self-regulation, which is the basis of emotional resilience.
Each of the wards underwent initial and final diagnostics, which includes the measurement of physiological and psychological indicators to assess the effectiveness of the intervention. According to the results, we note significant improvements in the children's psycho-emotional state. The project has enabled children to return to the realities of life in Ukraine knowing how to cope with different emotional states. Each individual child has the ability to help themselves and teach those around them. Therefore, the impact is not limited to individual children, but spreads to the social environment.
