Vyrii: Vidchui Foundation (Ptakhy)
On August 9-10, an event that became a new point of cultural power took place at VDNG in Kyiv - “Vyriy”.
The organizers - the Kurazh team - embodied a bold idea of combining ethno-futurism, freedom, and contemporary art.
Over 100 artists performed on three stages in costumes by Lesya Patoka: DakhaBrakha, ONUKA, Jamala in collaboration with Aniel Arin, British singer-songwriter and producer Aniel Arin, and Ukrainian singer-songwriter and producer Aniel Arin.
More than 100 artists performed on three stages in costumes by Lesya Patoka: DakhaBrakha, ONUKA, Jamala in collaboration with Aniel Arin, British composer Benjamin Clementine, and other musicians and performers.
Guests enjoyed a performance by Freedom Ballet, a two-day theatrical production curated by Ivan Uryvsky, a unique installation of a Ukrainian village, and an atmosphere where art intertwined with everyday life.
But Viri is not just about music and beauty. It is an event with meaning and action.
The event's partner, Visa, donated a portion of ticket sales to support the Feel charity fund and its Ptakhy project.
The funds raised will go to help the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade purchase a blood gas analyzer and consumables for it.
A blood gas analyzer is an indispensable device in stabilization points near the front line. It allows doctors to instantly measure oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, monitor acid-base balance, quickly identify critical conditions such as hypoxia, acidosis, and alkalosis, and promptly adjust treatment, saving lives in the field. In intensive care and on the front lines, every minute counts. The gas analyzer provides fast and accurate diagnostics, without which modern medicine on the front lines would be impossible.
“Vyriy” has brought hundreds of people together through art, music, and the power of culture. But its greatest value lies in its ability to transform emotions into concrete good deeds.
