20-year-old Anna has lived with a complex form of Cerebral Palsy (CP) since birth. In Anna's case, spastic diplegia leads to increased muscle tone, which particularly complicates movement in her legs. Her parents have been fighting for every movement and every opportunity for their daughter since day one, never allowing the disease to take over.
"It was immediately clear that it wouldn't be easy, but only with the passage of time did we realize the full depth and severity of the illness. When the doctor mentioned CP, it sounded like a bolt from the blue, and life immediately changed its course by 360 degrees," says Yevheniya, Anna’s mother.
Now, thanks to the tireless work of her parents and countless rehabilitation courses, Anna is no longer confined to bed and can move around. Each new course yields better results, making it essential to continue intensive therapy. Anna now needs to complete another critically important rehabilitation course at the Kozyavkin Clinic to consolidate her progress and move closer to walking independently. The cost is UAH 25,812. Anna lives with her mother and older sister, Khrystyna. Their monthly budget is minimal, so they are unable to pay for the rehabilitation on their own.
We ask you to become a part of their fight. Every Hryvnia is a step for Anna. Let’s support this girl together!
