Eight-year-old Arina is a cheerful, active child who loves to draw and dance. Unfortunately, she had to give up her beloved dancing due to a serious illness – type I diabetes. A year ago, she underwent intensive care, and her life was divided into "before" and "after".
Arina had to grow up quickly: instead of mischief, sweets, and games with friends, her days are now filled with a strict diet, constant injections, and finger pricks up to 15 times a day. It is very difficult to control blood sugar levels during physical activity, which is why the girl had to give up her hobby.
However, the child has a chance to live her life to the fullest thanks to continuous glucose monitoring sensors. These devices measure glucose around the clock and send information about any fluctuations from any distance without pain or punctures. Unfortunately, it's not that simple – the price of these sensors is prohibitively high, especially for Arina's family, where a single father provides for three children.
