Artem lost his hearing due to a car accident

In March 2024, the project “Artem lost his hearing due to a car accident” was posted on the dobro.ua website, the purpose of which was to raise funds to pay for hearing aids for Primak Artem (diagnosis - chronic bilateral sensorineural hearing loss of the 4th degree) in the amount of 141,000.00 hryvnias.

The fundraising lasted a year and was completed in March 2025. On March 17, we paid for hearing aids for Artem, however, when the boy and his parents came to see the doctor, it was discovered that the condition of his hearing had changed, and the doctor replaced the model of hearing aids, the amount of which was 115,000.00 hryvnias. Therefore, the supplier returned the amount of funds in the amount of 26,000.00 hryvnias to the fund’s account.

Artem had been waiting for such necessary devices for a very long time! Last year, after graduating from school, he couldn’t even go to college because he was rejected everywhere due to the lack of hearing aids. However, now the path to education and mastering a profession is open for Artem, and this year he will apply again, we wish him success!

When Artem was 5 years old, he got into a car accident, as a result of which he lost his hearing. Since then, Artem has been wearing hearing aids, but over time they no longer fit, because the boy grew out of them and needed new ones. The boy’s family did not have the resources to buy his son new expensive hearing aids, because Artem grew up in a large family with four brothers and sisters. Therefore, the family turned to our foundation for help. We are sincerely grateful to the UBB International Foundation for Children and Families for the opportunity to implement this project!

The remaining funds in the amount of 26,000.00 hryvnias will be returned to the account of the UBB ICF, please dispose of them in accordance with the Rules, Principles and Procedures of the UBB ICF.
