Life-saving surgery for Artem

Artem is only 5 months old, and he is already fighting for his future. The baby has a serious diagnosis – craniosynostosis, scaphocephaly, and frontal plagiocephaly. He urgently needs reconstructive surgery on his skull. This is a chance to give the boy a healthy childhood and save his life.

From the first days of his life, Artemchyk became a real little fighter. His mother noticed that the shape of her child's head was different from normal. The doctors' diagnosis confirmed her worst fears: the boy has craniosynostosis – premature fusion of the skull sutures. This means that the brain is growing, but the bones of the skull are not. This causes the head to become deformed, creating a risk of increased intracranial pressure, pain, and developmental delays.

Artem is only 5 months old, but he has already undergone dozens of examinations and medical consultations. His only chance to live without pain and have a future is to undergo complex reconstructive cranioplasty. Doctors plan to correct the deformation and form the correct shape of the skull using modern biodegradable materials. This will not only restore his appearance, but more importantly, it will give his brain room to develop.
The cost of the materials needed for the operation is prohibitive. Artem's parents are unable to pay for the treatment themselves, as all their energy and resources go towards caring for their little boy.
