The question "why did this happen?" for Nastya's parents has long ceased to exist. For them, a daughter is just love. Even more than love.

A true umbilical cord knot is a rare obstetric pathology, found in only 1% of pregnancies. Nastya turned out to be in this percent. Without waiting for the planned cesarean section, the knot tightened and blocked the access of oxygen from her mother. Prolonged hypoxia led to brain damage of the baby. According to the doctors' forecasts, Nastya had no more than only a year to live. Only thanks to the great love and round-the-clock care, Nastya is eleven years old now.

A pillow with a princess and a pink bedspread – these objects immediately say that this is a girl's room. But instead of a dollhouse, there is medical equipment, and the closet is filled not by toys, but a supply of medicines and consumables. An air conditioner and an air purifier are constantly running in Nastya's room. This room is a small island where everything needed is in hand and all conditions are created for Nastya's life.

Nastya will not be able to breathe without an aspirator, a cough assist and a tracheostomy. She cannot eat without a gastrostomy tube, a feeding pump and special food. The equipment will not work without consumables, and without medicines Nastya will not be able to cope with constant bronchitis and pain. If you translate all this into numbers, you get about 500 UAH per day, of which the state allocates a little more than a hundred. If not for the help of caring people, Nastya would not have lived for a long time.
