Human life begins with the first breath. It is a starting point of a great journey called «Life». However, there are those, who need help to make that first, most important step. They are called Neterplyachki's, preemies, preterm or premature born children.

Around 15 000 000 children in the world are born preterm annually. On average it is every tenth child. Preterm born children are a special category- they are very week and fragile, their body functions are still immature.

A baby born weighing less than 1500 grams, faces problems with respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive and nervous systems. It's life depends on the correct and modern nursing. Prematurity is one of the main causes of child mortality in the world. Every year in Ukraine about 500 000 thousand babies are born. 24 000 thousand of them are born preterm. Approximately every 20th child in Ukraine is born premature.

Born earlier than 32 weeks, these tinies not always can make their first breath on their own. They require the timely safe primary care. Lives of these babies fully depend on the modern medical equipment. Conducting proper infusion therapy for these children is only possible with the help of special devices - syringe pumps, providing liquid for intravenous feeding, with accurately calculated speed, it protects the brain from fluid overload.

The pump is designed to deliver medication with high accuracy at both high and low infusion rates. The pump has an extensive control and alarm systems, as well as built-in battery. All this provides a continuous pump operation during patient transportation or power outage, as well as monitors the correct operation of the pump triggering an audible alarm, lighting up the cause.

It is because of the goal of purchasing the syringe pump for the postintensive care unit of Khmelnytskyi regional hospital, our project's angel, successful and charitable businessman, a man, who knows all about the Events - Oleksiy Akimov joined the team CF "Svichado" to participate in fundraising Marathon, which takes place within Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon Weekend 2017.

Taking part in the Fundraising charity Marathon allows everyone to unite for the sake of saving the little Preemies, since children are our future and our hope. Oleksii will be running her own Marathon, because every kilometer, every meter of the distance makes children closer to their health and their parents to ease.

Your help and support of the project - is a sense of comfort given to every prematurely born baby during the period of nursing and strengthening of his body!
