I run to realize my childhood dreams! O. Gryshyna

Alexandra Grishina is an athlete and coach, a master of swimming and triathlon, a long-distance champion of Ukraine in triathlon, winner of the Ironman 70.3 series. I'm running to support parents who give orphans warmth of the home.

"Professional sports are first of all awareness and overcoming of the main rival, which is reflected in the mirror. The victory over oneself, the determination to get better every day, no matter what. It seems to me that the way of adoptive parents is approximately the same: a fateful decision, hard work, a chain of small and big victories - and the long-awaited result, when an incredulous little man gets warmed by love. 
In the world around us a lot of indifference, injustice, unfulfilled hopes. It hurts us to touch, and we try to avoid that which hurts us. But sometimes one comes face to face with injustice and thinks: what can I do to change the world around a bit?
Once, when I already had a lot of victories behind me, I set myself a new and really difficult goal - the Ironman competition. I believed that I could do it in the right physical form, but the amount that I had to spend on registration and the trip - put in front of me what seemed to be an insurmountable wall. My friends threw a cry in social networks and thanks to the help of caring people, the funds were collected.
It also happens with a couple who decide to take into the family another's disadvantaged child: readiness for global change and work at the limit of opportunities - behind them, support and help - for us.
This winter in the Dnieper will be the X Festival of foster and guardian families, family-type children's homes "Christmas Meetings". There will be many joyful meetings, words of love and gratitude, gifts and surprises. Help me fulfill the dreams of adopted children!
