Ilia's struggle with diabetes

To avoid 25 finger punctures a day and minimise the risk to his health, Ilya uses sensors and pods. Their cost for six months is too high for the family. It was extremely difficult for the family to cope with this financial burden, and now they also have to pay rent: they had to move to Uzhhorod because of the fighting.
In accordance with the agreement No. 21 on cooperation between the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace and the Charity Operator of the Pomohaiem Charity Foundation dated 31.08.2020 and the additional agreement No. 21.289 dated 12.11.2024, the project ‘Ilya's Fight against Diabetes’ was posted on the dobro.ua website to attract charitable donations to pay for Zhuzha Ilya's treatment. 
During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange - dobro.ua - to purchase some of the boy's shoes. So, according to letters No. 61 dated 04.02.2025 and No. 121 dated 18.03.2025, we received the collected UAH 16,800.00 (sixteen thousand eight hundred hryvnias and 00 kopecks) and UAH 37,610.00 (thirty-seven thousand six hundred and ten hryvnias and 00 kopecks) to the account of the Foundation and continued to collect on the dobro.ua platform. 
In February of this year, we purchased OmnipodDash pods for Ilya for UAH 16 800.00 (sixteen thousand eight hundred hryvnias and 00 kopecks), and in March - for UAH 37 587.00 (thirty-seven thousand five hundred and eighty-seven hryvnias and 00 kopecks). 
Despite the diagnosis, the boy lives an active and full life. Thanks to the support of caring people, Ilya is confidently overcoming health-related difficulties. 
Now he is successfully completing the third grade at school and is preparing to receive a certificate of completion of courses at the SHAG Computer Academy under the First Step programme.
Ilya has many friends, feels free in everyday life, and the level of control over his disease allows him to lead a healthy lifestyle. His parents are sincerely grateful to everyone who supported their son during this difficult time.  
We plan to use the remaining unused funds in the amount of UAH 23.00 (twenty-three hryvnias and 00 kopecks) to meet Ilya's needs in 2025, and the project is still raising funds.
