Ilia's struggle with diabetes

      To avoid 25 finger pricks a day and minimise health risks, Ilya uses sensors and lances. Their cost for six months is too high for the family. It was extremely difficult for the family to cope with such a financial burden, and now they also have to pay rent for their apartment: due to the hostilities, they had to move to Uzhhorod.
      In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the charity operator Pomagaem Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 289 dated 12 November 2024, the project ‘Ilya's Fight Against Diabetes’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting charitable donations to pay for Ilya Zhuzha's treatment. 
      During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation (dobro.ua) to purchase some of the boy's clothes. Therefore, according to letters No. 61 dated 4 February 2025 and No. 121 dated 18 March 2025 we received the collected 16,800.00 UAH (sixteen thousand eight hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 37,610.00 UAH (thirty-seven thousand six hundred and ten hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform. 
      In February 2025, we purchased an Omnipod Dash for Ilya for UAH 16,800.00 (sixteen thousand eight hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in March – for the amount of 37,587.00 UAH (thirty-seven thousand five hundred and eighty-seven hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
      Later, according to letter No. 593 dated 19 November 2025, we sent a request to close the fundraiser, reduce the amount of the project on UBB to the actual amount raised – 92,910.00 UAH (ninety-two thousand nine hundred and ten hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and to transfer 22,900.00 UAH (twenty-two thousand nine hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to our current account to pay for Ilya's treatment and project administration.
      Thanks to the funds received, in October 2025, we purchased and delivered an Omnipod Dash for the boy in the amount of 14,500.00 UAH (fourteen thousand five hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in November – in the amount of 19,377.50 UAH (nineteen thousand three hundred and seventy-seven hryvnias, 50 kopecks), and also paid for the administration of the project.
      Ilya's health is currently stable. Thanks to the Omnipod Dash system, he is able to control his blood sugar levels much better, avoiding sharp fluctuations. This helps reduce stress, lessen the fear of hypo- or hyperglycaemia, and gives the whole family more peaceful days.
      The device provides continuous and accurate insulin delivery without the need for multiple daily injections. This allows Ilya to move freely, play sports, attend karate classes, skate, or play the piano without feeling constant discomfort.
      We apologise for the delay in preparing the report, which is due to difficult circumstances beyond the control of the reporting manager and the inability to replace the employee.
      Currently, all funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the child's needs.
