Fighting for Maksym

Maksim first showed signs of the disease at the age of six months in the form of refusal to drink, eat, and a sharp weight loss. The baby was admitted to the intensive care unit. At 8 months of age, Max was diagnosed with Pseudo-Barter syndrome, a complication of cystic fibrosis in which the body intensively loses minerals through sweat. At the age of 9 months, specialists conducted the necessary tests and confirmed cystic fibrosis.
In accordance with the agreement No. 21 on cooperation between the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace and the Charity Operator of the Pomohayem Charity Foundation dated 31.08.2020 and the additional agreement No. 21.240 dated 17.10.2023, the Fight for Maksym project was posted on the dobro.ua website to attract charitable donations for the treatment of Mostovyi Maksym.
In the course of the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds (2023) raised on the website of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace - dobro.ua to provide treatment for the boy. In this regard, we asked to transfer UAH 43,500.00 (forty-three thousand five hundred hryvnias and 00 kopecks), according to the letter No. 335 of 17.10.2023, for the purchase of medicines and special food for Maxim.
The initial amount to be raised was UAH 93,412 (ninety-three thousand four hundred and twelve hryvnias and 00 kopecks). When all the necessary amount for the purchase of medicines and special food for Maxim was collected on two information platforms: CO ICF ‘Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace’ and the CF ‘Pomogayem’, we asked to close the collection, reduce the amount of the project on the UMB to the actual amount raised - UAH 81 549.21. (eighty-one thousand five hundred and forty-nine hryvnias, 21 kopecks), and transfer the remaining amount of UAH 38,049.21 (thirty-eight thousand forty-nine hryvnias, 21 kopecks) to our bank account for the purchase of medicines, special food and project administration, according to letter No. 378 of 06.12.2023.
In 2024, we supported the guy with medicines and special food for a total of UAH 33,165.53 (thirty-three thousand one hundred and sixty-five hryvnias, 53 kopecks), and partially paid for project administration services. 
In January this year, Maksym was admitted to the Dnipro Regional Clinical Hospital with pneumonia. His mother, Olga, asked us to support him with medicines, which we did in the amount of UAH 11,039.63 (eleven thousand thirty-nine hryvnias and 63 kopecks). In March, we bought and delivered special food for Maksim worth UAH 8,855.10 (eight thousand eight hundred and fifty-five hryvnias and 10 kopecks), in April we helped with medicines worth UAH 645.73 (six hundred and forty-five hryvnias and 73 kopecks), and partially paid administrative expenses. 
Now Maksym is back on sick leave, he has pharyngitis. His mood is not very good, because every time he has a cold, he is afraid of being admitted to the hospital with drips, because Maksym has bad veins and it is very difficult to put in catheters, which causes him pain. 
So far, all the funds transferred from the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace have been spent on the child's needs.
