Fighting for Maksym

Maksim first showed signs of the disease at the age of six months in the form of refusal to drink and eat, and a sharp weight loss. The baby was admitted to the intensive care unit. At 8 months old, Max was diagnosed with Pseudo-Barter syndrome, a complication of cystic fibrosis in which the body intensively loses minerals through sweat. At the age of 9 months, specialists conducted the necessary tests and confirmed cystic fibrosis.
In accordance with the agreement No. 21 on cooperation between the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace and the Charity Operator of the Pomohayem Charity Foundation dated 31.08.2020 and the additional agreement No. 21.240 dated 17.10.2023, the Fight for Maksym project was posted on the dobro.ua website to attract charitable donations for the treatment of Mostovyi Maksym.
In the course of the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds (2023) raised on the website of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace - dobro.ua to provide treatment for the boy. In this regard, we asked to transfer UAH 43,500.00 (forty-three thousand five hundred hryvnias and 00 kopecks), according to the letter No. 335 of 17.10.2023, for the purchase of medicines and special food for Maxim.
The initial amount to be collected was UAH 93,412 (ninety-three thousand four hundred and twelve hryvnias and 00 kopecks). When all the necessary amount for the purchase of medicines and special food for Maxim was collected on two information platforms: CO ICF ‘Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace’ and the CF ‘Pomogayem’, we asked to close the collection, reduce the amount of the project on the UMB to the actual amount raised - UAH 81 549.21. (eighty-one thousand five hundred and forty-nine hryvnias, 21 kopecks), and transfer the remaining amount of UAH 38,049.21 (thirty-eight thousand forty-nine hryvnias, 21 kopecks) to our bank account for the purchase of medicines, special food and project administration, according to letter No. 378 of 06.12.2023.
In April 2024, we supported the guy with medicines and special food for a total of UAH 7,605.33 (seven thousand six hundred and five hryvnias, 33 kopecks), in August - for UAH 13,320.00 (thirteen thousand three hundred and twenty hryvnias, 00 kopecks), in September - for UAH 5,240.00 (five thousand two hundred and forty hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and partially paid for project administration services. 
At the end of January this year, Maksym was admitted to the Dnipro Regional Clinical Hospital with pneumonia. His mother, Olga, asked us to support him with medicines, which we did in the amount of UAH 11,039.63 (eleven thousand thirty-nine hryvnias and 63 kopecks). 
Now Maxim is at home. He weighs 18.3 kg and continues to eat special food. His health condition is satisfactory. After treatment in the hospital, he has returned to normal life, but has not yet gone to school, as the school is currently under quarantine.
During the cold season, the boy tries not to visit crowded places and walks only near his home to avoid getting sick again.  
We plan to use the remaining funds in the amount of UAH 10,655.75 (ten thousand six hundred and fifty-five hryvnias and 75 kopecks) to meet the boy's needs in 2025.
