Let’s build new Dacha together!

It is important for everyone to feel safe, to be able to hug their parents. Especially for children affected by cancer. They get this opportunity at the only center in Ukraine which is called Dacha. This is a unique center where children from all over Ukraine who had cancer or undergo treatment at the Cancer Institute are recovering and living with their families for free. And during the time of Dacha project implementation we provided over 1200 children with accommodation.

Now Dacha is a rented house for 6 families every day. But in reality 15 families need our help.  That’s why we are building a new Dacha which is a large modern center that can host 350 families each year. The new house will have 14 rooms, two playrooms, a physical therapy room, a psychologist room, a sensory room, and a common room. There will be conditions for children on wheelchairs.

As of now, the building of the new Dacha has already been erected, and the internal communications have been installed. Repair works and furnishing are underway – everything is developing rapidly, as if in a movie, but this is not the director’s fantasy, but our reality with you. The reality in which all children will have their parents, their love and attention at the time of treatment. 

Each of your contributions is one more brick to our new Dacha. To building a house where the family atmosphere reigns and nothing reminds of the hospital. Where children build castles, treat plush bears and bathe in colorful balls forgetting about the disease. Where children are gaining strength, returning to life, and the results of their medical tests improve.
