Oksana is the mother of 4 year old daughter and beloved wife. Until recently, all was well in her life, but in February 2018, she’s got into a trouble. The lost the possibility to walk and till now the doctors cannot find the cause of her illness. NODUS Clinic is ready to undertake an examination to determine if there is a chance to get out of the cart! But the amount to pay for it is huge and the family cannot pay it.

"My name is Oksana Shevchenko, I am 29 years old! On February 12, 2018, I experienced a disaster that transformed my life into before and after! In the evening of February 11, I felt a slight pain in my lower back, had a slight temperature of 37.0, I did not pay much attention to it, thought it was just a cold, since it was winter then!

I didn't know then that I would be wheelchair bound!!! In the morning, I woke up, went to the toilet, but could not urinate. My husband drove me to the district hospital, where I was examined and doctors tried to make a diagnosis. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm I was in the waiting room, my condition was getting worse, by the end I was already numb in the legs! After that, I was told to go to the Ukrainka Neurological Center. The time was against me! The doctor at the ward said she needed to do a puncturing, that’s the only thing she could do since the local hospital does not have any equipment to inspect me, "and tomorrow I will send you to the Kiev Regional Hospital."

We did not wait until morning, and went to the Kiev Regional Hospital unauthorized, then I could no longer walk! There they also kept me waiting for a long time for hospitalization, my condition worsened all the time, and after that I got to the intensive care unit! There I spent one week, then the neurological department, Institute of infectious diseases. Gromashevsky, consultations of different doctors, but to this day no one has found the cause of my illness! Since 2018, we are constantly looking for doctors to help me heal, time is against me!

Recently, I had a consultation at the NODUS clinic, the doctor advised to do a series of examinations to understand if there is a chance to get out of the cart! And if there is such a chance it is necessary to carry out long-term rehabilitation, which will be selected for me at the NODUS clinic.

Unfortunately, the amount we have to pay to get this survey is overwhelming. I ask all of you, please help us raise funds!"
