Vitalii is a winner from the very birth. Having appeared in the world with a weight of less than a kilogram, he survived and overcame the numerous consequences of premature birth. But some developmental defects will remain with him for the rest of his life.

For Vitalii's appearance, his parents have fought for seventeen years. Finally, after a long treatment, they had their tiny son. Doctors immediately warned that the baby might not survive, but the parents desperately believed in their child. For two months, Vitalik could not even breathe on his own. At the age of nine months, the boy's eye lens was replaced, and at the age of almost two years, a kidney operation was performed. Only after three years, did Vitalik begin to quickly catch up with his peers.

A new diagnosis – bilateral deafness of the third degree – became an obstacle to further development. Vitalii was immediately fitted with hearing aids provided by the state. But the power of the devices was not enough to fully understand the people around him, so the boy never started talking. In a few years, the family managed to independently buy more powerful hearing aids. Vitalik also started working with a teacher of the deaf. It was then that the boy began to utter his first words.

Despite the complex diagnoses, Vitalii is an ordinary thirteen-year-old teenager. He studies in a comprehensive high school and plays sports professionally. He has the third-level adult category in swimming, participates in the championships of Ukraine, and already has two dozen medals in his active.

In recent years, studying has become more difficult for Vitalii, because it takes place online, and the boy reads part of the words by the lips. It is not surprising: his current devices are already eight years old, they have been repaired several times and are technically outdated. But there is a way out – these are new, modern hearing aids worth 135,000 UAH.

Now Vitalii is preparing for the Ukrainian swimming championship and dreams of getting into the reserve Paralympic team. We believe that the boy will achieve his goal! And we can fulfill one more of his dreams – to buy new "ears" so that the talented boy does not lose touch with the world, continues to play his favorite sport, fully studies and communicates with his peers!
