Fourth year of continuous treatment

More than ten years ago, a healthy son was born in the Burmychi family. Every mother knows what a miracle and boundless joy it is. As a child, he was very inquisitive and active. At the age of five, he was already reading books, solving puzzles, crosswords, playing chess and football. But time runs very fast. In 2018, "our professor", as everyone in the family calls him, goes to school. Tears of joy and the first bell...but Ivan didn't hear the last bell. Life was divided into before and after.

The disease progressed very quickly. Fever – 40. Night shivers. Initially, otitis was treated, but the diagnosis was wrong. After three days of treatment at home, convulsions began. Brain fever. Encephalitis. The child fell into a coma. Ivan was connected to a ventilator. But the convulsions did not stop for another two weeks, causing great damage to the child's brain. The prognosis was completely disappointing... Thanks to the doctors and the courageous boy who fought for his life, the convulsions stopped. The device was turned off, and from that time on, a completely different life began for the family. Ivan learned to walk, talk, relearned the names of objects... In front of his parents was a new child, like a blank slate. Everyone was very happy with Ivan's slow progress. It was a small but significant victory for the Burmychis...

But, unfortunately, the convulsions returned. Desperation and tears... The feeling of trouble every minute... And the most terrible thing for a mother is helplessness and the understanding that nothing depends on her anymore. Later, I realized that it depends... And a lot. We need to find a doctor, drugs that stop seizures, examinations and money to pay for all this... It was hard for her before the war, but family and friends helped her and she had a job. And now...now there is a war. There is no work, no money either... But the fight for my son and his happy childhood continues.
