Daria needs full treatment

In the Parafiyivka village in the Chernihiv region, there is a seventh-grader named Daria. She is a wonderful girl who learns to play the piano, weaves various trinkets from beads and seems to live like an ordinary girl of her age. But she has one big difference. Dasha has been living with insulin-dependent diabetes for two years. This means that Daria has to strictly control all her physical movements, all the food she eats, and even her emotional fluctuations. If not done carefully, the consequences for her life and health can be irreparable.

The daughter's illness shocked her parents. They had never experienced diabetes in their family. It was hard to learn and get used to living in a strict regimen. Constant weighing of food, counting of carbohydrates, blood tests and sugar measurements, insulin injections. It's not as easy as it seems at first. Especially if you have to do it all the time. All of this is complicated by Daria's very high blood sugar fluctuations. She has to take measurements 15 times a day. The punctures on her fingers have been healed in two years of treatment. At night, the girl's sugar often falls below normal, and it is necessary to wake the child to give her something sweet to raise her sugar. If you “miss” the drop in sugar, the child can fall into a coma! Sugars react to everything! To illness, stress, and even the weather.

In order to better monitor her sugars, Daria needs continuous monitoring sensors, but they are very expensive for her parents. The family spends a lot of money on needles, medicines, examinations and tests. Only the father works in the family, because the mother has to be with her daughter all the time. They do not have enough money for Daria's full treatment.
