Seven-year-old Darya has faced many challenges. The girl was born with a cleft of the soft and hard palate, which made it impossible for her to eat on her own. Her mother had to feed her with a bottle and spoon. When she was one and a half years old, doctors performed an operation on the baby, and Darya began to chew her food better and, most importantly, to speak. It seemed that the operation would leave behind all the childhood health problems. But the girl grew up very weak and was always sick.
A year and a half ago, Darya was hospitalized in a serious condition. Tests showed a very high level of sugar in the girl's blood. After the tests, doctors diagnosed Darya with insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes. The girl receives up to 10 injections daily. Over time, the family began to buy continuous glucose monitoring sensors for the child, which greatly improved the girl's condition and well-being. But their price is too high for the family. The happy days when Dasha has the sensors are passing quickly. Every day she receives injections and finger punctures – it's tears, the child is in pain, and it's terrible! However, the girl was lucky: her mother was able to get an insulin pump for free. The family's friends bought a new pump, and they are willing to give their old one to Darya. Everything seems to be fine. But the pump requires the purchase of consumables. And it is also very expensive!
The mother begs for help for Darya, because using the pump is a chance to keep the child's body intact.
