I will turn 23 years this April, and I want to start this month with a charity run to benefit children with severe physical and intellectual disabilities at Dzherelo Centre. My challenge is to raise 3,000 hryvnias for fluel of 7 specially equipped minibuses that daily transport more than a hundred children and young people to classes and rehabilitation at Dzherelo Centre.

My 22 year of life has been busy and challenging, but I am grateful for the opportunities to be a volunteer first and then to start working for Dzherelo Children’s Rehabilitation Cenrte. During this time, I learned more about children and young people with special needs, and this only reinforced my desire to work to benefit people who are in dire need of help but cannot ask for it. For me, Dzherelo is not just a job, it is something that makes me feel useful to the world.
