A delicate problem requires an urgent solution

Let’s support a two-year-old baby who needs an expensive urogenital surgery in October! The displaced family is renting a room and will not be able to raise the necessary funds for the operation on their own.

Immediately after the birth of Andrii (the boy's name has been changed for ethical reasons), the neonatologist advised the parents to show the child to a urologist. The boy was born with a urogenital defect: coronal hypospadias, which required surgical interventions.

In November 2024, Andrii underwent the first surgery to eliminate the deformation of the genitals. Now it’s time for the second, final stage – urethroplasty. The operation will be performed by an experienced urologist surgeon at the Oberih clinic.

Andrii is a kind, smiling and persistent boy. He loves to assemble a constructor, assemble puzzles, play with cars and invent new games.

Early intervention is not only a medical necessity, but also an important prevention of psychological trauma. At this age, children recover quickly, there are no difficult memories left, and if postponed, it can cause difficulties first in adolescence, then in adulthood.

But mom and dad cannot afford the surgery. The family has IDP status, lives in a rented room in a dormitory. Mom is on maternity leave, dad is temporarily unemployed.
