A young man whose life is crippled by an incurable disease. Yevhen suffers from diabetes, and thanks to the help of caring people, he was able to purchase sensors for continuous monitoring of his blood sugar levels. They eliminated unpredictability from the boy's routine, took away the pain and constant anxiety, and gave his family peace of mind – now they don't have to worry about what might happen when he is away, studying or hanging out with friends.
Yevhen started going to the gym, where he works out on a par with his friends. Thanks to the sensors, he can see his sugar levels and adjust his workload and meal schedule accordingly. And his fingers, which used to be raw and sore, are now completely intact and unharmed. With the onset of hot weather, the boy's need for nighttime insulin decreases, and he is in a state of constant hypoglycemia until his parents find the right dose. Conversely, when autumn begins, the need for insulin increases again, and the “roller coaster” of finding a new dose begins again. With the sensor, it is convenient and easy to work with, because the rate of change in sugar levels is completely visible.
However, the family is facing a big problem – the sensors are running out quickly, and they still cannot afford to buy them themselves. Having tried life with them, finally breathing deeply, without constant anxiety and tension, they simply cannot bring themselves to return their child to the pain, uncertainty, feelings of shame, and inadequacy of the past. Don't let a stable, peaceful life remain in the past for them!
