We love handicrafts and appreciate them more mass production. Not only in the case when it comes to analyzing the blood for diagnosis. Imagine a doctor, stimulated "by hand" to hold and express an opinion on 150 analyzes per day. Multiply this by a set of numbers, errors and data for each analysis. Who can guarantee that it is your analysis will not be distorted because of the banal "human factor"? Solving this problem is worth 58 thousand UAH. This is the cost of blood hematology analyzer. It is commonplace today for modern medical facilities, but unfortunately, not for the Kyiv City Children's Clinical Hospital № 1.

If we talk about the general analysis of blood for medical card motorist, you can easily forgive any measurement error. And if we are talking about full blood count for a child with suspected immunodeficiency, in this case, any errors can have catastrophic consequences.

What do the doctors at Children's Hospital Kiev 1 in this case? Send parents of young patients to be tested in private laboratories where there is adequate equipment and 1 procedure costing parents 50-70 UAH. There is another option to ask Okhmatdet doctors who can make the analysis. But the most unpleasant that all this delays the process of diagnosis, which is often needed was already " yesterday ".

The answer to these questions is simple and it costs 58 thousand UAH. This hematology analyzer, today he is as commonplace for modern medical facilities as electronic cash registers, which replaced the wooden abacus on store shelves.

Just over a year ago, the city Department of Health decided to expand the city and hematology service organization in one city hospital not only outpatient and inpatient treatment , and children with hematologic disorders , including children with hemophilia and thrombocytopenia . Thus the need for the most in-depth studies of blood as soon as possible has become even more urgent.
Kyiv City Children's Hospital № 1 has 450 beds for inpatient treatment of patients. It is the main center for the treatment of children from HIV - infected mothers. The structure consists of hospital pathology department and neonatal resuscitation. In 2013, the Hospital has been treated about 20,000 children.

Together with physicians, we conducted a small analysis of the market and stopped at 2300 BC gemoanalizatore firm Mindray, which is the most interesting in the ratio of price and range of features. Cost of the device - 58,000 hryvnia . We invite all indifferent to the problems of our children's medicine people to take active part in the process of raising funds for this device.

This project was canceled, the amount collected is 2 010 UAH. The funds were disposed of in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB) International Charitable Fund and the decisions of the Project Donors.
