The department of intensive care and anesthesiology for newborns with a visiting neonatal team at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital* treated 274 babies in 2023 alone. Of these, 16 children were profoundly premature. Hospitals had to expand their capacity due to the large number of internally displaced people forced to flee the war and occupation from other regions of our country. And doctors are faced with calls every day, a lack of a full range of modern equipment to provide medical care for early-born and newborn babies. Our goal is to fix that!
Now the hospital needs a modern neonatal electrocardiograph, which is one of the main methods of heart research and diagnosis of diseases of the cardiovascular system in infants. The old machine is so outdated that it does not meet standards of care. And the suction cup electrodes are old, metal and leave bruises on the skin of children. The new machine will keep the department running and improve the conditions of care for children, because diagnosing heart function is important in nursing premature babies.
Help us purchase needed medical equipment that will save the lives of hundreds of children and help doctors respond to changes in patients' bodies.
