Breathing freely after the basements of occupation

Tymur has the status of a child affected by hostilities. He spent a month and a half with his relatives in a damp basement during the occupation. Prolonged cough turned into asthma, and now Tymur needs long-term and expensive treatment.

In 2018, Tymur's family moved from Olexandria to Polohy: his grandmother fell ill and needed support and care. In Polohy they were caught in a full-scale war. The house of Tymur's family was located near the road by which the occupiers entered the town. Roadblocks were set up at the beginning and end of their street, and there was constant artillery fire all around. So the family sat helplessly in the basement.

Soon, Tym developed a swelling of the mucous membrane of the nose, a cough began, which got worse every day. When the boy began to suffocate, a difficult decision was made: the children must be taken out urgently to seek medical help.

Mother left with the children to Kamianske; dad stayed in the occupation with the grandmother, who can hardly move. In any case, he would not have passed the Russian checkpoint – he would have been sent to the front from the Russian side.

Tymur is studying online in the 2nd grade of the school of Polohy. By nature, the boy is a leader, but after the occupation he began to be afraid of loud noises and often cried. The Kamianske City Council gave him the status of a child affected by hostilities. Currently, Tym, his brother David and sister Bohdana are undergoing psychological rehabilitation.

The charitable foundation presented Tymur with a set of Legos, from which he builds the cities. Tim likes to watch educational programs about ships and play football, but with shortness of breath, weakness and a cough, it is impossible to run. The doctor prescribed a long course of treatment with the drugs Oraltek, Nixar, Pulmicort and Flex. A nebulizer is required for their taking. It is also necessary to undergo a course of antibiotic therapy. Thanks to the project, we will buy Tymur a nebulizer and a year's supply of medicines.
