Yulia is one of the mothers who had to save her children while hearing the explosions. She and her two children left Kharkiv for the Khmelnytsky region, spending almost a week on the road. During the journey, Yulia, her one-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son had to spend the night in different conditions: on the floor of an industrial building, on a small bed in a kindergarten, on a wooden bench and in a car. "But it's better than under fire", the woman assures.
"Caritas-Khmelnytskyi UGCC" has been supporting families in difficult life circumstances in the project "Social and Pedagogical Work with Children and Youth in Ukraine" since 2008. Our foundation helps parents cope with difficulties, preserve the family for the child and the child in the family. The project provides social support for the family and assistance from specialists to help it overcome the crisis. But the greatest support is the provision of targeted financial assistance in the form of food packages. Our task is to help families, including IDPs, overcome temporary difficulties and provide our beneficiaries with food packages that will consist of sausage, canned food, butter, oil, various cereals and much more. The cost of one food package is 700 UAH.
Many philanthropists are constantly contributing to this support, as we raise funds on the dobro.ua website. Today we are addressing you again, our dear benefactors! Your kindness and compassion will be warmly reciprocated in little hearts. Help us raise funds to buy food for 100 families with children in difficult life circumstances, low-income families with many children and families with children with disabilities, families who have lost their breadwinner and the children are now under the care of grandparents, families of missing persons or those in captivity. Even a small amount will help us meet the needs of many children. We need to raise 70,000 UAH.
