Children at "OKHMATDYT" need help

Since the first days of Russia's full-scale military invasion, the hospital has been constantly delivering wounded children and adults alike. Doctors at "OKHMATDYT" have provided and continue to provide medical care to citizens of Ukraine, regardless of age and the nature of the wound, and accept patients from the de-blocked cities. The youngest patient who was wounded during the war was only a month old and the oldest one was 83 years old.

At the same time, urgent and planned hospitalization and operations are not subject to termination, when their transfer (postponement) carries a serious risk to life and health.

The "OKHMATDYT" performed and still performs the important task of reducing infant mortality by introducing the most modern methods of diagnosis and treatment and by performing complex operations. The key to successful treatment is timely and qualitative diagnostics. One method of diagnosis is capsule endoscopy - a safe, accurate, non-invasive method used in cases where other standard methods of endoscopic diagnosis do not provide enough information to make a correct diagnosis.

This technique is used for diagnostics of inflammatory intestinal diseases, intestinal bleeding of unclear genesis, iron deficiency anemia, vascular malformations of the small intestine (angiodysplasia, Bean syndrome, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous hemangiomas, hemorrhagic diminu lymphangiectasias. This diagnostic method has a place in the diagnosis of small intestinal mucosal lesions due to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and graft versus host reactions.
