Alina was born preterm through the cesarean section in the age of 7 month with the weight of 1540 grams. She was taken to the intensive care where she stayed for two weeks under the apparatus of artificial lung's ventilation since she could not breathe. All the family was praying to God so that she would start breathing. When she did, we were transferred to the regional children's hospital of Zaporizhia. In the age of 2,5 months she underwent her first rehabilitation and neuropathologists announced a cerebral palsy diagnosis.

Alina is such a long-awaited and beloved daughter. The baby survived regardless of the doctors' prognosis! In these six years we've had our tears of happiness and despair, hospitals and rehabilitations... But now our child is starting to make her first steps, moving by holding the furniture, wall, doors, while she could not even turn by herself before!

Alina can read, write and really wants to dance. She is smart, diligent, sociable and cheerful. This year she will start attending the inclusive class, the mother will be with her in the class, helping her. The girl is very diligent to learn to walk by herself, so that she could be in classes on her own. She attends an orthopedic kindergarten, a rehabilitation center for classes with a psychologist, a teacher, a speech therapist, does a lot of trying to walk holding on to the rope, we are also engaged in Gravistat suit on a treadmill, she attends the school preparatory courses, she likes to communicate with children, to play on breaks.

Recently there had been a matinee in her kindergarten and Alina was telling a poem. I am so glad for the attitude other children show to her, they make friends, like her, help her. Thanks so very much to the fund and every person involved in our struggle for a healthy fulfilling life, you've been helping Alina go through important and necessary rehabilitations to acquire new skills. The treatment has been giving positive results. After the rehabilitation in the International clinic of rehabilitative treatment her balancing improved, she started to stand on her feet more confident and move around the room holding the wall and table, she has improved the fine motor skills of hands, she is trying to get dressed on her own and undress.

We struggle with the disease and we believe that our girl will be independent and be able to self-service herself. Now it is important for us to pass the regular course of rehabilitation at the International Clinic of Rehabilitation by Dr. Kozyavkin method. Putting a baby on its feet requires persistence, strength, endless motherly love! Every mother has a dream that her baby is healthy. God bleass you and your children! Mother's gratitude to you for your help and support!
