Children’s Hope: Help for Okhmatdyt

On July 27, 2026, the project “Children’s Hope: Help for Okhmatdyt” was posted on the platform of the International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” (dobro.ua) as part of the “Children’s Hope” program under the CARDIOVASCULAR category. The goal of the project was to raise funds to purchase seven modern medical instrument tables with hydraulic height adjustment for the cardiothoracic surgery department of the State Non-Profit Enterprise “National Children’s Specialized Hospital ‘Okhmatdyt’” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

An agreement No. 07-2026/1 was signed between the Charitable Organization “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” and Topchiy, an individual entrepreneur, on July 31, 2026, for the supply of instrument tables with hydraulic height adjustment. Payment for the equipment was made on August 17, 2026.

On September 15, 2026, the medical instrument tables with hydraulic height adjustment were delivered to the cardiothoracic surgery department of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt.” These medical instrument tables provide convenient access to sterile instruments and supplies, improve the organization of the surgical team’s work, and help reduce unnecessary movements by medical staff. Their mobile design allows the tables to be easily moved without compromising the sterility of the surgical field.

Each year, the cardiothoracic surgery department performs approximately 457 surgeries, and in the first half of 2026 alone, doctors have already operated on 328 children with congenital and acquired heart defects.
