Children's Hope: Help to Odessa Regional Hospital. Cardio 2
In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals.
In the framework of the Cardiology project, in February 2021, the Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital "OOR" will receive assistance.
Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital was established in 1974 on the basis of the city clinical children's hospital, which began its work in 1936. The medical institution provides highly qualified specialized pediatric and surgical care for children, and is the only region to provide emergency surgical and trauma care and emergency care for children in general. Throughout its existence, the hospital is a leading children's medical institution in the Odessa region.
Every year, more than 90,000 children receive specialized medical care at the hospital. The Cardiorheumatology Department was founded in 1997, consists of 25 cardiorheumatology beds and annually treats up to 950 patients with cardiovascular and rheumatic pathology aged from 1 month to 18 years. In addition, the department conducts examinations of adolescents at the direction of the military registration and enlistment office.
The funds raised will be used to purchase a Cardiolab Velo ergometer, a Midas 6/12 mini electrocardiograph for ECG readings, a PM-60 pulse oximeter with a pediatric, adult and neonatal sensor, a BeneHeart C1A defibrillator for emergency resuscitation, and a Bene infusion pump. VP1 (2 pcs.) For infusion treatment in children. All this equipment will be transferred to the Cardiorheumatology Department and will help to conduct in-depth examinations and treatment of children with heart disease at a better level.
