Children's Hope: Help to the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery 2

In November 2018, Kyivstar together with the Ukrainian Charity Exchange launched the Children's Hope charity program to help children with heart disease and cancer treated in Ukrainian hospitals. The Department of Peritoneal Dialysis Baxter Claria with consumables was transferred to the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the State Institution "Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". About 70% of all care for children with congenital heart disease in Ukraine is provided by doctors from the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. Every year, the institution's specialists perform more than 2,500 operations on cardiovascular pathology of any complexity in patients of all ages. Every year, thousands of children from all over Ukraine receive highly qualified cardiological and cardiac surgery completely free of charge. The center performs operations on children with congenital heart defects from the first hours of life, as well as provides emergency and scheduled care for children of all ages with cardiovascular disease. Treatment is also provided to children from orphanages, socially disadvantaged children and IDPs. The purchased and transferred equipment is already working and helping to provide better treatment to children with heart disease.
