The Kyiv City Orphanage named after MM Gorodetsky has its own annual rhythm. Every week or two, children experience a certain theme that is in tune with what is happening in nature. All activities and games of the pupils develop around a certain theme, which always ends with fun. During September and October, the children got acquainted with the vegetables and fruits that appeared on their tables every day. They learned their names, admired their colors and shape, tasted, tasted, smelled and together cooked delicious dishes from vegetables and fruits. They played "vegetable" finger games, turned rich autumn gifts into wonderful creations - various alterations that reminded them of fairy-tale characters.

Having visited this fabulous place for its beauty, I really want to do something meaningful and leave a good memory. I do not want to realize that the children living in the complex do not live an ordinary child's life. Currently, 53 children aged from 1 month to 4 years live here. These are orphans, disabled since childhood, with multiple developmental problems, lesions and disorders of the nervous system. Listening to the story of each of them, you will involuntarily think about how happy and good we live. We do not know what it is like to be abandoned and have complex, sometimes incurable diseases from birth.

All these children require constant attention, treatment and rehabilitation. And the staff of the orphanage is trying to arrange the treatment and life of children deprived of parental love. This difficult work largely depends on the attitude to the problem of those who can participate and help raise funds for the necessary equipment and materials. During its existence, 10013 children passed through the hands, hearts and souls of the employees of the orphanage, 2593 of them were adopted. Since 2008, 483 children have been treated in the medical and social rehabilitation department.

Much has already been done, much more they will have to find and apply in their work. It should be noted that currently all orphanages in Ukraine are undergoing some reorganization and almost everyone has problems in purchasing equipment. In the structure of the Kyiv City Orphanage named after M.M. Gorodetsky has a palliative care unit. It constantly treats children. Such patients require constant monitoring and involvement of physicians.

The medical part of the institution desperately needs patient monitors, oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters, and medical suction cups. This equipment is available in every hospital, but the orphanage has a problem with it. It is not cheap, but we can raise these funds and make a significant gift to doctors who care for children with such a difficult fate.
