Maksym is only 12 years old, but life has already put him through challenges that not every adult can withstand. His story began with a difficult start – he was born at 25 weeks of pregnancy weighing only 910 grams, the second of twins. He spent many weeks in the intensive care unit and intensive postnatal care. It was thought that this difficult period would be the hardest in his life. But no. It was just the beginning.

Maksym's mother is a neonatologist, and she knows better than anyone how important proper care and rehabilitation is for such children. From the first days of his life, Maksym has been struggling with diagnoses that have become a real challenge: schizencephaly, posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus, symptomatic epilepsy, mental retardation and spastic tetraparesis. It seems that such a list of diseases takes away hope, but not for Maksym. Every day he shows his resilience, and most importantly, his potential, which with proper treatment can be developed into a full-fledged childhood.

Maksym has now completed two rehabilitation courses at the Kozyavkin Clinic, and he is already showing noticeable results. However, to consolidate this progress, rehabilitation should take place every 3-4 months. But financially, this is simply unbearable for a single mom. She is doing her best to ensure that her son can grow and develop, not just deal with pain and limitations. However, she needs our help. Maksym has every chance to move forward, and we can help him achieve this goal.

Your support and concern can change this boy's life, giving him a chance for a childhood full of joy and discovery.
