Childhood, don't pass by

Anya is a very gentle, cheerful girl. She likes to draw, popular songs, to listen how her brother playing the guitar, to listen to her mother reading and educational cartoons. But the whole life of this child, from the very birth, is a constant struggle with the disease. Asphyxia, intragastric hemorrhage, mechanical ventilation, resuscitation, constant examinations, consultations, trips to MRI and other examinations every three months, chemotherapy, painful procedures, rehabilitation, intense physical exertion that could break many adults. A happy, carefree childhood did not reach Anya... It passes by.

And, although at birth the girl was predicted not to live, but to exist, the intensive treatment gave its results! Anya learned to walk, dress herself, speak easy words; she knows how to make appliqués, knows a lot of letters, knows how to put them into syllables and works on sentences with verbs. She has a good memory, remembers poetry and fairy tales. The prognosis is very good – if last year the psychologist assessed the development of the girl for 1-2 years, this year – her development assessed as the one of 5-6-year-old! And this is not the limit - Anya can still catch up with her peers. Each rehabilitation course produces amazing results. But the cost of such treatment for a family that has been fighting a child's illness for 10 years is unbearable.

Anya works every day, but we really want her to find her happy childhood, when there is no need to rush to procedures, endure pain, but just to walk with her mother and brother, and to enjoy the sun.
