Vika fell ill on New Year's Eve when she was in the 4th grade. The girl began to lose weight rapidly, and the doctor sent her for tests. According to their results, the doctor diagnosed the girl with a terrible disease – diabetes. For 4 years now, 13-year-old Victoria has been living with this disease.
The girl is engaged in dancing and sings well. Vika reassures herself and others that she is not sick, it's just her lifestyle. She can't inject insulin on her own, so her mother has to be with her daughter all the time. At school, everyone tries to help Vika, her friends take care of her. But this is not enough to live with diabetes. The family needs to have money to buy the necessary medicines and equipment to simplify the life of a sick person and prevent severe consequences of the disease.
Vika and her family live in Ternopil region. The girl has an 8-year-old brother who takes care of his sister and always carries a candy in his pocket because Vikusia may feel sick and needs to be given something sweet, and always reminds her that she needs to eat. The boy loves her very much. The family had a hard time supporting two children even before the outbreak of the full-scale war, but now it has become completely impossible. The parents are engaged in housekeeping, but it does not bring enough money for Vika's treatment. The mother is begging for help with her daughter's treatment, in particular, to purchase blood sugar monitoring devices.
