Fourteen-year-old Kateryna is a much-awaited child in her family. Her treatment began when she was three months old. The girl lived with her family in a picturesque village in Donetsk Oblast, but with the start of the full-scale invasion, they had to change their place of residence and move to Kyiv region. For the first three months after her birth, the child was very restless, and then she began to have seizures.
After a complete examination, the girl was diagnosed. Since then, Katia has been on constant medication, undergoing regular examinations and tests. Over the course of her 14 years of life, the child's therapy has changed frequently because it has been very difficult to find the right medication for her seizures.
After another visit to the doctor and a huge number of tests, the doctor prescribed an expensive anticonvulsant medication. The results were noticeable from the first doses, and Katia's condition improved.
Katia is currently in 7th grade and is being homeschooled. Every day, Katia eagerly awaits the arrival of her teachers. She is a very sociable child who loves to communicate with adults and children and play various games on her phone. Katia also loves and listens attentively when books are read to her. She helps her mother in the kitchen and around the house with particular interest and persistence, shows interest in cooking, and loves her pet cat Asya very much.
Anti-seizure medication is vital for Katia. Without it, her seizures may return, significantly worsening her physical and mental condition. The family cannot cope with all the financial costs of Katia's treatment on their own, so they are turning to you for help!
