Victoria is now 11 years old and has been suffering from diabetes for 8 years. The girl is ironic about everyone who asks her about the device she uses to measure her sugar level. She says it is a GPS navigator. Vika is lucky to go to school – it is a regular educational institution, and the girl has never been ashamed of her diagnosis, including due to the attitude towards her. And the teachers already know that if Vika is pale or feels unwell, they should first measure her sugar level. In her spare time, Vika tries to live a normal life: she rides a bike with her friends, attends modeling classes and learns English.
It is very difficult for her mother to let Vika go alone and hand over control of her diabetes to her. Together with her child, the mother keeps a diary of food and insulin injections. Unfortunately, due to diabetes, the girl has developed complications with her bronchi and eyesight. Once a year, she goes to a sanatorium for rehabilitation in Truskavets. Rehabilitation measures improve Vika's condition, but to prevent further complications, the girl needs to compensate for her diabetes more accurately. This can be done with the help of continuous monitoring sensors.
Vika's mother is raising her on her own, and she cannot cope with all the financial costs of her daughter's treatment on her own. Vika needs help from philanthropists.
